We warmly welcome you all to the website of St. Ronan’s Primary and Nursery School. St. Ronan’s provides a quality education for children aged 3 – 11 years in the town of Lisnaskea and surrounding areas. St. Ronan’s is a Catholic school but we accept children of all religions and none providing an inclusive and welcoming place for all.
The website will give you a useful insight into life in the school and some of the extra activities we undertake so as to provide our children with as many experiences and opportunities as possible.
There are many useful sections for parents which are full of information and these should answer some of the questions you may have. Please encourage your children to use the Mathletics learning application because it offers a fun, interactive way to build strong foundational maths skills. The program provides activities tailored to a child's level, so they can work on challenges that suit their abilities, enabling steady progress without feeling overwhelmed. Through engaging games and activities, Mathletics makes learning math enjoyable, helping children stay motivated and reinforcing many essential skills they need for success.
Additionally, Mathletics provides instant feedback, allowing children to see where they need improvement and learn from their misconceptions right away. Parents can track their child’s progress and identify areas that may need extra attention, fostering a productive learning environment at home. This combination of feedback and parental involvement not only boosts confidence but also strengthens children’s understanding of math concepts, setting a solid groundwork for more advanced maths in the future.
Each week the children are encouraged to achieve a 1000 point target, and when successful they receive a certificate.
These achievements are regularly celebrated in assembly and also proudly displayed on the screen in the foyer, with many children regularly checking to see if they, their siblings, or their friends' names are there.
