Our young explorers have been busy uncovering the wonders of the planet! After looking at the continents, the equator, and the tropics, the children recently took part in an exciting active learning activity. The children ran around the playground identifying countries from all around the world that were hidden under cones. They were very enthusiastic and really enjoyed the activity as can be seen from the photographs attached.
In our next lesson, we’ll be turning our attention to the map, where the children will locate these countries and investigate whether they might be home to a rainforest. It’s a fantastic way to connect geography to our topic and spark discussions about climate and the importance of protecting these vital ecosystems.
The children have already shown great interest and we can’t wait to see where their curiosity takes them next as we learn more about these special places!
