For the last few weeks, P2 have been learning all about Castles. In school, we have studied people who lived in castles, their jobs and what its like to live in a castle. We have had interesting discussions about what jobs we would like and dislike and the majority of children chose their own homes as opposed to living in a dark, cold castle. We made shields, drew and painted castles and even used our learning in our creative writing this week!
As part of our topic, we visited Enniskillen castle last week. We were able to have a look at weapons that people in the castle used to fight their enemies, wrote with a quail and used ink to make some interesting laws of our own. We learned all about the Maguire family and the feasts and banquets that people used to enjoy and made some wonderful memories in the forum playground. We even had a treat at the ice cream truck after our play. What a brilliant day! Well done P2 for excellent behaviour and a fun day out for everyone.
