Primary four have been enjoying discovering scientific facts relating to their 'World Around Us' topic. They have been looking at herbivores, carnivores and omnivores. Working together using their combined knowledge, through discussion and reasoning they classified animals into these groups, sometimes making predictions.
When supplied with each animal's actual diet to reflect on their predictions there were some shocks!
The biggest being that a ladybird is a carnivore because it loves to eat aphids (greenfly).
With loads of fun learning still to be completed in this topic we are sure to learn more crazy facts along the way.
