Halloween Fun in P1/2

28th Oct 2021

The past few weeks have been busy busy busy in P1/2. We have been identifying 2D shapes and their properties, making human numbers and spending lots of time practising our number and letter formation.

Last week we went for a Nature Walk and collected lots of leaves, pine cones and other bits and bobs and used them for our Autumn art. We made collages and painted cats and spiders on using pastels and paint.

On Wednesday, we got into the Halloween spirit and dressed up in our best costumes. We created and made ‘Positivity Potions’ and had a go at sticking our hands and fingers into our spooky pumpkins.

We finished off the day by having a Popcorn Party. The children worked for their 5 ‘gems’ and were rewarded with their class treat. Working as part of a team, good listening and being kind are all ways to earn gems! The next treat was voted and it will be a Christmas Food Party!! The children will be working hard to earn their gems during the next term.

Have a look through the videos and pictures below to see what we have been getting up to!! Happy Halloween everyone 🎃☺️
