P7 had a go at one of our lesser known Gaelic games. They took part in some handball activities during their PE time on Friday.
Pupils tested out the handballs we received from Croke Park and put the sports hall walls to the test! There was a big focus on hand-eye coordination as well as positioning and striking during the drills and activities. Some pupils got some excellent rallies going despite this being their first time playing handball. We finished with a game of 'Blasters' to see who had the most powerful yet accurate serve!
We look to develop our basic handball skills over the next few weeks and we hope to develop our transferable skills for sports such as Gaelic football, basketball and indoor athletics through these activities
