Our second Mini Marathon will be taking place on Friday 30th May. Last year's P5-7 pupils raised over £5,000 for school funds as they ran and walked round the back roads of Lisnaskea!
This year, all of our wonderful pupils will be making use of the Birdie Walk and Emmett Park as their running/walking route! All pupils will walk from St. Ronan's at 9:20am to arrive at Emmett Park by 10:00. Races will start at 10:15am. The event will finish around 11:30 and pupils will return to school in time for lunch. In the interest of safeguarding and logistics, all pupils should return to school.
P1 and P2 will make use of both grass pitches. P3 and P4 will use the new Railway Path along with the main pitch. P5-P7 will complete a loop of the Birdie Walk and Railway Path before finishing on the main pitch. All races will finish in front of the stand. Birdseye view photos of each route have been included.
Parents and family members are invited to support the children from the stand and the sideline beside the stand. We ask that cars be parked at the back of the stand or beside the large stones lining the edge of the car park and that gates leading on to the pitch are left clear.
Our PTFA will be on hand with some delicious baked goods. There will be a bake sale beside the stand and Roasted will be open for hot/cold drinks.
Pupils have received sponsorship forms and more information relating to the event will be posted here on the website and on our Facebook. Pupils will receive waiver forms this week. These must be returned by Wednesday 28th May. Pupils without waiver forms will have to remain in the school building for the duration of the event.
Please note this event is weather dependent, but fingers crossed we will be out running and walking in the sunshine!
