We have been busy learning about Space and getting our displays prepared for our topic.
Firstly we talked about all the things we would like to learn about Space. We recorded our questions onto speech bubbles.
We have also been busy working as a class and in pairs to research and write about the facts we have discovered on each of the planets in our Solar System. We have really enjoyed listening to and browsing through a variety of non-fiction books.
In class we have been learning two songs about Space and we have watched the accompanying videos to help us remember the order of the planets from the sun. We have had great fun singing along to both tunes!
We have had a great time getting creative with our topic using oil pastels to create the solar system and 2D shapes to design rockets. We have also had loads of fun working on our topic at home. Take a look at our 3D Rockets we created from materials found at home. We think they look amazing!
