Here is a little look back at some of the activities we had been getting up to for our ‘World Around Us’ topic in Primary 3. We had a great time exploring information about:
- The Solar System
- Star Constellations
- Life as an astronaut
- Winter
- Nocturnal animals
- Being Safe and Being Seen
We had a wonderful time designing moon buggy’s and rockets from construction materials and 3D junk items. We were fascinated at creating our own aliens from dough and art and crafts (which we used for writing descriptions within our literacy work).
We used ICT for Bee-Bot space missions, creating 2D shapes and space puppet stories.
We even had a special visit from a bat and learnt many more interesting facts about their lifestyle. Many thanks goes to Catherine Reilly for her fascinating facts and for her time spent with us.
