P2 Grandparent's Assembly 2026
Primary Two children warmly welcomed their grandparents into school on Thursday 22nd January as part of Catholic Schools Week. During the assembly, the children shared six special words they had chosen to describe their grandparents and told heart-warming stories about why these important people mean so much to them. Everyone enjoyed a beautiful PowerPoint filled with photographs of the children and their grandparents, followed by prayers and a song dedicated to them. To close the assembly, Great-Grandad Tommy McDermott delighted everyone with a song of his own. Grandparents were then invited for a cup of tea, and the children proudly brought them to their classrooms. It was a truly lovely afternoon celebrating these very special members of our school community.
