As part of our topic Natural Disasters and Be Ready, Primary 7 have been learning what to do if an emergency were to occur. Today, all of P7 took part in basic first aid training. The children learned how to help themselves and others if someone is choking, how to perform CPR using a defibrillator, and how to place someone into the recovery position.
We would like to say a big thank you to the three volunteers from the Oak Healthy Living First Responders for delivering this invaluable course to our pupils. We hope they never have to use these skills, but we are confident that if the occasion were to arise, our pupils are ready to put their knowledge into action.
