Primary 5 have been busy in Maths this past few weeks having investigated 3d shape. They really enjoyed the challenge of creating shapes using popsicle sticks and bluetac and then using them to identify vertices, faces and edges.
Last week they learned more about capacity and in ICT they played some Kahoot! quizzes on this topic demonstrating a strong understanding.
Additionally, the children watched and discussed a NewsDesk article that outlayed the importance of maths in both everyday jobs and elite professions. The children appreciated this point of view and this may inspire them to overcome future challenges in mathematics.
