The children in Primary 5 have been showing a keen interest in learning about the vikings. The children have being crafting in the early mornings to create their own Viking character with shields and weapons at the ready and now all aboard the longship.
They have been using 'Rhunes', the Viking alphabet to write their names and some messages. They have discovered what Viking society was like and during ICT time have investigated and experienced different elements of Viking life through the CCEA Viking World in Minecraft. They have documented their journey along the way and are now looking at creating their own representations of longboats in Minecraft.
