As part of their class rewards system and as part of their continued preparation for secondary school, P7 have been completing some science experiments.
We based an investigation around the question, “Is Water Sticky?”. During this, we discussed molecules, membranes, and surface tension. Pupils used coins and pipettes to create surface tension membranes. They recorded how many drops of water they could add to their coins before the membranes burst. Those who added the final drop got soaked themselves!
We look forward to carrying out more investigations and experiments over the coming weeks!
