Miss Quigley noticed that the welly boots at the front of the school needed some TLC. Primary 2 had the chance to plant some Daffodil bulbs that will bloom in the spring time. The children enjoyed taking the weeds and old soil out first. Next, they put in fresh soil. Finally, they planted their spring bulb and covered it with soil. The children recognised the three elements needed for plants to grow - soil, sun and water. They also recognised the importance of not over watering the bulbs. We also placed a pot in our classroom so we can watch the bulbs grow. the children said beside the window was the best place as light would always shine on the bulbs. It was a great afternoon and we cant wait to watch them grow!
