P5/6 had a fantastic afternoon at a workshop focusing on the Titanic. Stephanie from 'Time Steps' was very informative and had a huge range of activities and resources with her.
The boys and girls were spilt into groups. They were asked to create a ship using the same resources and equipment. The challenge was to see who's ship could hold the most marbles before sinking.
Great effort went into all ships. The team of engineers from the winning ship, 'The Night Sailor', were; Ultan, Daibhan, Rosie, Mark, Caitlin and Dylan. Their ship held 62 marbles before sinking.
An engaging and fun afternoon in the classroom.
