There was chaos last week as the chairs walked out of the classroom due to ongoing ill treatment from pupils!
As part of their block of persuasive writing, P7 had to persuade the chairs to return to the classroom by completing a 'warm write'. Pupils were provided with a brief structure of how to complete a persuasive letter along with a vocabulary bank and a checklist of features to include.
They had less than an hour to write compelling letters which would encourage their chairs to return to the classroom after lunch. Despite having to stand or lay down for the duration of this lesson, pupils completed some very solid pieces of writing which included the good use of vocabulary and inclusion of key persuasive features.
Pupils will now take time to complete a plan and draft for their final piece of persuasive writing in the coming weeks.
Well done boys and girls! Hopefully the chairs will stay in the classroom for the rest of the year!
