On Thursday 25th we enjoyed a whole school assembly and welcomed a very special guest, Joanne Deery who volunteers for Trócaire. Joanne delivered a presentation showing how Trócaire helps communities and families overcome the daily challenges they face in their fight for survival.
The children were enthralled, appreciating how different and difficult life is for these children, but were delighted to see how the work of Trócaire can also change these children's lives for the better.

Members of the school council presented a cheque for £900, totalling money raised by all the children of Saint Ronan's with the help of their families, to Joanne.
During assembly we also had our Star of the Week awards, a couple of birthday celebrations, and also acknowledged the achievement of some Feis winners in both art and Irish dancing.
