This morning our class had a guest speaker, from the Drumlin Wind Energy Co-op, in to discuss the importance of renewable energy. This children were put into groups and challenged to create a working wind turbine. Each group was given the materials and resources to create their turbine. This was a challenging activity but all our groups were able to create a working and stable wind turbine. This activity helped to develop their thinking skills and personal capabilities. These include thinking, problem solving, making decisions, working with others, being creative and self-management.
