P7PF and P7MB had a fantastic day at the Buttermarket Annual Market Day on Friday 17th June. The rain certainly didn't dampen their spirits. The children brought along a wide range of baked goods that didn't need last very long - they sold everything and had great fun bartering with the customers.
Some of the children even took our their traditional instruments and played a few tunes, gathering up quite a few coins and notes of appreciation. The welly toss also proved popular, with many people lining up to have a go!
The crowd enjoyed the children's rendition of I'll Tell Me Ma and the Rattlin Bog!
Joe Mahon from Mahon Way was there and footage from the day will be aired on his programme sometime in the Autumn.
A big well done to Tyler Lynch P7MB who placed first overall in St Ronan's in the art competition.
Overall, the children made £150
